Item Description
5.5” wide by 8.5” long by 6” tall. c. 1940s. Painted diecast white metal display featuring bearded elves drawing mug of beer from barrel. Very colorful finish including elves in richly colored fleshtone faces, white beards, outfits of red, yellow and green. Hollowed barrel top and base are in matching simulated woodgrain with inscriptions on 3 sides of base in raised red lettering. Barrel has circular opening into hollowed center for placement of display bottle. Top rear of base has recessed compartment most likely for holding foam scrapers. Rear has copyright marking for Piel’s Brothers, N.Y. Scattered small paint wear on nose tips, etc. Not offensive. Overall darkened with age. Would benefit from proper cleaning. Displays Fine.
