Item Description
2.5x9x6" tall tin litho toy comes in box w/nicely illustrated lid. Early 1960s by T.P.S., Japan. Box is noticeably dented at lower left, box bottom has 2" split at this corner, lid has minor 1/8" puncture. Corners remain tight and still has a clean appearance for display. Overall still about VG. Clown is depicted riding a beat-up motorcycle which has simulated dents, dings and holes and front is held together by a board screwed in place. Toy has working friction mechanism and as it travels along, the clown's head moves up and down. Also has spring-loaded mechanism so that when the front fender is struck, the cycle splits apart between the tank and front forks. Toy has minute scattered paint nicks really only noticeable when viewed closely. Toy remains totally bright and glossy. Great design and vibrant coloring. Exc.
