Item Description
First is 3x4.25” card. ©1949. Card is designed to be made into cut-out toy. Corner crease. Holed as made. Uncut. Card scarce and Fine. Card holds five .75” dia. plastic figural buttons. All buttons remain attached to card. Buttons Exc. Next is 3x5.75” card holding gold plated charm. Text of card mentions the Borden exhibit and suggest “You May Hold The Lucky Number For One Of Elsie’s Special Prizes And While You Are Visiting The Exhibit, Be Sure To Get Your Free Copy Of Elsie’s Comic Magazine.” A number appears at the card bottom which hopefully would correspond to the lucky number at the Borden exhibit. c. 1940s-50s. Card has lt. aging. Fine. Charm Exc. Next are two rings (one plastic, one metal). Both 1960s. Both with adjustable bands. Exc. Last is 4.25x4.5” card. c. 1950s. Holed at top as made. Graphics of Elsie and hand holding telephone with text for “Borden’s Dairy & Ice Cream Co.” with local phone number. Graphic and text are repeated on back. Card shows lt. aging. Fine. Scarce. Attached to card is unused tin lithographed tab and plastic cow head whistle. Both N. Mint. A nice group of Elsie smalls.
