13.5x18-7/8” thin cardboard poster for c. 1960s event that took place at Cheyenne, WY. Jul. 23-28. Celebration of frontier/wild west history. Frontier days featured “6 Big Afternoon Rodeos, 3 Free Western Parades, 9 Days & Nights Of Carnival” plus “Free Chuckwagon Breakfasts, Indian Dances, Square Dancing” and “6 Night Arena Shows” starring Fess Parker who starred as Daniel Boone on TV. These shows also featured “Your Father’s Mustache Band, Chuck Wagon Racing, Junior Barrel Racing, Authentic Indian Dancing, Chariot Racing” with mention of horse races occurring the following week. Poster has nice art image of racing stagecoach, bw photo image of cowboy on bucking bronc and bw portrait image of Parker as Daniel Boone. Reverse of poster has remnants of masking tape at edges with some obvious surface paper lift at edges but as displayed from front this does not affect poster’s appearance which remains VF.
