Item Description
9x12”, 12-page program for “Sheriff’s 11th Annual Rodeo” that was presented by Sheriffs’ Relief Association Of Los Angeles County and took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Aug. 21, 1955. Presiding over event was Sheriff Eugene W. Biscailuz. Event was of note due to the rare appearances of both The Lone Ranger and Tonto, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans at the same event. Program gives biographic information on attendees as well as Sheriff personnel. Program shows moderate handling wear with creasing and is missing bottom staple but remains intact. VG. 8x10-1/8” glossy vintage bw publicity photo shows “Miss Rodeo America” Pat North, Jay Silverheels as Tonto, Grand Marshal Clayton Moore as Lone Ranger, Dale Evans, Sheriff Biscailuz, Roy Rogers and “Queen Of The Rodeo” Piper Laurie. Also comes with 2 smaller 4x5” glossy bw photos featuring alternate takes of publicity photo as well as image of Lone Ranger on Silver and Tonto on Scout with Sheriff Biscailuz and Piper Laurie. Each has Los Angeles area photographer stamp on reverse. Lt. handling wear to trio of photos, mostly along edges of margins. VF/Exc. overall. Great lot.
