Item Description
6-1/8x8.5x2” deep nicely illustrated box has art of Popeye on top saying “Well Blow Me Down Here I Yam In Soap” while smaller Popeye figure in his hands says “An’ I Got Olive Oyl An’ Wimpy Wit Me.” All 4 side panels of box show illustrations of Popeye and friends. Castile soap designed by Lester Gaba by Kerk Guild, Inc. c. 1930s. Box contains 3 figural soap figures of Popeye, Olive Oyl and Wimpy ranging in height from 4-5”. Each has rb paint accents. Box has moderate aging but remains structurally sound. Fine-. Popeye is complete with separate wooden pipe. Glue repair to broken neck. Popeye has hairline crack and crazing but aside from neck, body remains structurally sound. Olive and Wimpy have some crazing but remain structurally sound. All 3 have some scattered wear to paint accents. Fine for display.
