Item Description
2.5x5.75x2.5” deep display box contains 5” tall soap figure of Popeye with rb paint accents. Complete with separate wooden pipe. Castile soap designed by Lester Gaba by Kerk Guild, Inc. c. 1930s. Box is missing original cellophane window and shows wear with creasing and edge wear. Fine. Soap figure is aged and has wear to painted accents and .25” rub to Popeye’s chin. Hairline crack to Popeye’s neck though figure remains structurally sound and Fine+. 2.75x5.5x2” deep illustrated “Olive Oyl” box has bw/green illustrations of Popeye and Olive Oyl on all 4 side panels. Box shows moderate wear with pin holes on top main panel and penciling. Side panel shows some creasing and moisture staining. VG/Fine. Box contains 4.75” tall soap figure of Olive Oyl. Rwb paint accents show some wear with flaking, mostly to her hair. Left arm has large chip with most of forearm and hand missing. Neck break has old glue repair. VG. Also by Kerk Guild, Inc.
