Book provided a directory for different actors and actresses, broken down into the following categories – “Leading And ‘Heavy’ Men, Juvenile Men, Character Men And Comedians, Leading And ‘Heavy’ Women, Ingenues, Character Women And Comediennes" and "Children.” As well as listing various managers, studios, etc. Some stars of note include: Bill Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), Tyrone Power, Betty Blythe and many others, each with nice large bw photo and biographical text. Of particular note, page devoted to Boris Karloff and another devoted to Bela Lugosi, showing him in full Dracula costume. This was the personal copy and is marked so on front cover of Alfred L. Werker, a film director noted for his films “House of Rothschild” and the 1939 classic “The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes.” He also directed the Laurel & Hardy 1942 film “A Haunting We Will Go.” Book shows wear mostly at corners and along spine. Fine. Pages are clean and a few show aging/wear at binding but overall, remain VF+.
