Item Description
1.5” by a full 1/8” thick. Unlisted in Hake. Front has portrait facing right with surrounding text “Franklin D. Roosevelt Pres. Of U.S.A. 1932/1936/1940.” Reverse has unusual design of a giant eagle standing with talons on top of a tiny mountain range while to the right a rising sun casts its rays and includes in the design a tall, thin torch with flame at top. Tiny lettering below the scene “Jan. 2, 1941” while larger text surrounding the scene reads “3rd Inauguration Of A Great Humanitarian.” Lustrous silver finish and N. Mint. Only example we’ve seen.
