Item Description
2x3.5” with paper label over plastic which on reverse has exposed circuit board along with brass cover under which a battery would be positioned. We don’t know if this piece works but if it did, from the front a red light would flash as the dot above the letter “I” of “In.” This 1980 piece was preceded by similar pieces in 1976 which we’ve seen for Reagan as well as Carter and likely a Ford was made. On those we’ve seen, reverse names a North Carolina maker with product name then called “Tel-Aid.” Four years later on this piece the same company seems to be the producer with Hickory, N.C. address but product name is now “Badge-it.” Very tiny age traces on the paper label but still extremely Fine. A scarce and early example of button innovation.
