Item Description
1x1.75x3.25” box. World War II era. Box with illustration of Churchill (unidentified) looking statesman on front and back. Sides read “Blows Smoke Rings When Cigar Is Lit!” Full standing figure illustration explains “The Smoking Statesman/Amusing Novelty!/Actually Puffs Smoke And Blows Cigar Rings When Cigar Is Lit/A Cleveland Novelty.” Lt. handling creases/edge rubs, but box remains complete and holds original form. Fine. 2.75” tall painted bisque figure holds thin .5” long cigar in his mouth. Painted black suit with black tie, eyebrows and eyes. Light wear to paint. Uncertain how novelty is able to blow smoke rings, but it must work as there are lt. brown (burn) marks on figure’s face. Not offensive, but noted. Figure Fine.
