Item Description
2x4x7” box. ©1942. 6” tall stuffed soft fabric figure with leatherette helmet and goggles. Faux fur collar. Hand-painted starched linen face. Six strings attached to back fastened to 14” dia. cotton parachute. Stamped (poorly) on parachute reads “Raggy-Doodle/U.S./Parachute Trooper/Design Patent Allowed.” Text not easily read due to light printing, o/w doll and parachute appear unused and Exc. Box has repeat image on front and back. Illustration shows boy/girl toddlers throwing parachute doll into the air with large “V” behind them. Text includes “The Doll Of The Time!/Keep ‘Em Flying/Just Toss Me Up And Away And I’ll Come Down.” Manufactured by Prager and Rueben New York. Light crease at side bottom. Trace of wear. Overall box remains clean, bright. Holds original form. Box Fine. Comes with original 5.25x8.25” instructions with patriotic message. Instructions show overall creases likely from being scrunched into top of box with parachute. Instructions VG. Overall. Toy shows little/no use. Interesting war design for toddler’s toy. VF.
