Item Description
3x4.5".  c. 1940s.  Die-cut cardboard.  Printed on one side.  Both figures are bare-chested, wearing boots with their pants to their knees.  Each belt buckle has a swastika on it.  The 2 figures are held together with 4 small silver luster grommets.  The novelty is designed to move back and forth.  Hitler is depicted with a large endowment and is anatomically correct.  Hitler's hand is on Mussolini's shoulder.  Mussolini remains stationary while Hitler moves up and down/in and out by raising and lowering his boot.  In Hake Auction #191, lot #811 we offered a celluloid novelty based on the same idea with Stalin and Hitler.  That item sold for $1,262.  This one is equally rare.  Light handling creases at waistlines, Hitler's neck and pants.  Lt. surface dust.  Overall Fine. First we've seen in our 44 years.
