Item Description
First is 1.5” reading “Abortion: A Private Decision.” This is c. 1980s and reverse carries name and address in New York of group “NYS-Naral-National Abortion Rights Action League.” Second button is 2-5/16” reading “In Memory Of …Becky Bell 1971-1988/Restrictive Parental Consent Laws/Shattering Young Women’s Lives.” Rebecca ‘Becky’ Bell was an American woman who died as the result of a back-alley abortion in Indianapolis in 1988. She died a week later from a massive infection. Button has some very slight traces of gray tone on the o/w pink tone bkg. but this is as made and not stain. Both pieces display Exc.
