Item Description
5x6” die-cut felt patch with silk-screened design of Popeye banging large drum saying “I Yam A Virginia Dare Steinie Champ – Dats Wots I Yam!” c. 1930s. Unsure of meaning but possibly Virginia Dare soda drinking contest. Lightest trace of wear to silk-screened design which remains nearly 100% complete. Exc. Choice condition for this type of item. Rare and first we’ve seen.
