Item Description
Lot of four 10x10” books, each with 52 pages. ©1924-1927 Sidney Smith. Lot includes first 4 issues published by Cupples & Leon. #1 cover shows wear with some lt. creasing. VG with a few pages with crayon/pencil. Fine overall. #2 has ink stamp on cover and some handling wear with 4” crease at corner. VG. Pages are lightly aged and Fine. #3 cover has ink stamp and penciling on cover with moderate dust soiling. VG. First page is colored but remaining pages are evenly tanned with age and Fine. #4 cover shows moderate dust soiling/aging with corner tip rounding. VG. Pages are moderately aged at margins and front cover is detached though still attached via cloth binding. VG/Fine. Overstreet value in stated condition exceeds $450. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
