Item Description
3x4.25” sterling silver cigarette case engraved with Power’s initials “T.P.” Case shows wear but Fine overall. Comes with 7.25x10.5” typed letter on Power’s personal letterhead dated Oct. 14, 1942 and sent to fellow actor Pat O’Brien. Letter reads in part – “Dear Pat: This Is Going To Be Extremely Brief And To The Point. I Am Not Going To Ravage Your Sensibilities With A Long Pathetic Plea, Nor Go Into Lengthy Explanations Of Where The Money Is To Be Used. I Am Only Asking You To Reach Into Your Pocket And Put One Dollar In The Enclosed Envelope And Mail It Back To Me. It Is Going To The Quakers, To Be Used In Purchasing Milk, Etc. For The Children In Unoccupied France.” Power has signed his first name in black ink. Letter is folded as mailed and has 1” slice along left margin between 2 holes punched as issued. Comes with Hake’s COA as well as COA from R&R Enterprises.
