Item Description
Lot of 12, each 7x11" published monthly by Ziff-Davis Publishing Co. from April 1948-Sept. 1950. Issues in this lot include Vol. 10 #4, 6, 8-12; Vol. 11 #2, 6, 8, 11; Vol. 12 #9. Stories and covers deal w/various fantasy and science fiction elements, many beautiful covers depicting scenes such as sea monster attacking Indians, Tarzan-like character fighting Neanderthal, rocketship fleeing exploding planet and Amazon-like warriors riding white mammoths. Vol. 10 #4 cover depicts small troll-like beings surrounding a native girl in tattered dress and sporting an erect nipple. Vol. 12 #9 has a 1" circular moisture stain underneath title which does not greatly detract from image. All issues have lt. but expected cover overlap wear and handling. Pages are cream-colored, supple and Exc. Covers are vibrant and clean, Fine to VF. A choice collection of pulps w/beautiful covers.
