Item Description
13x13x2” deep box. c. mid-1950s. Box lid with nice illustration of Roy on rearing Trigger. “Roy Rogers/RR/The Plus Brand” logo appears at upper left. “Roy Rogers Pledge To Parents” with Roy’s facsimile signature appears at bottom right. Manufactured by Classy Products.” Repeat illustration on all sides of box of bullet belt with his name appearing on all sides. Two corner splits. Surface paper splits along bottom crease. Lt. wear/aging. Box Fine. Box holds 32” long tooled belt with his name on back center. “RR” brand appears on top of rivets that hold leather straps to belt to create two 3” long bullet holders. Holster has two 10” deep tooled leather pockets with his name appearing across center strap surrounded with silver luster accents. Well-made holster. Exc. Set comes with two 10” long cap-firing six shooters with revolving cylinders. Roy’s name appears on both sides. Guns made by Lone Star, England c. 1955. Extremely rare gold plated die-cast variety, each with ivory white Indian Chief grips. Guns are unfired. Both guns have rubs to the matte finish gold plating. This wear to the plating came from rubbing against holster interiors. Although English made, Lone Star guns came in some Classy Company holster sets as seen in company catalogues of the day. Guns are un-fired, however, due to gold finish wear are VF. Both revolver chambers hold six small brass/lead removable bullets. Complete set of bullets. Rare. VF. One of the more expensive, high quality Roy Rogers holster sets.
