3x7.75” celluloid cover with small celluloid and brass clasp holding 3 ink blotter sheets on the reverse. Has complete 1931 calendar with 4-line verse related to the economic depression of the times reading “A Hapless Year We Bury Here! It’s Gloom And Stress We Cast Behind, - And Hope Leaps Forward Without Fear, The Wheels Of Commerce To Unbind.” Somewhat ironic words in light of our 2008/2009 economy. Only example we’ve seen. Exc. and displays Mint.
