Item Description
1.25” with beautiful portrait of fireman in helmet accented by eagle’s head. Rest of inscription gives Philadelphia address as “559 Race Street.” We don’t know who “Harry” was, perhaps a supplier of firemen’s equipment. Reverse has backpaper by Weber Badge of Reading, Pa. Few tiny scratches show only in reflected light. Button displays Mint. Only example we’ve seen. c. 1910. See 1898 Festival of Fire & Victory button #737.
