BLB/BTLBs published by Whitman and titles include #734 "Chester Gump At Silver Creek Ranch" from 1933, two copies of #766 "Chester Gump Finds The Hidden Treasure" from 1934, #1105 "Ella Cinders And The Mysterious House" from 1934, #1146 "Chester Gump In The City Of Gold" from 1935, #1163 "Popeye Sees The Sea" from 1936, #1198 "Li'l Abner In New York" from 1936, #1401 "Li'l Abner Among The Millionaires" from 1939, #1402 "Chester Gump In The Pole To Pole Flight" from 1937, #1456 "The Story Of Charlie McCarthy And Edgar Bergen" from 1938, #1469 "Walt Disney's Bambi" from 1942, #1497 "Bambi's Children" from 1943, #1499 "Popeye And The Deep Sea Mystery" from 1939. Also included are Saalfield #1086 "Laurel And Hardy" which is 4.75x5.25" w/160 pages from 1934 and #1187 "Li'l Abner And The Ratfields" which is 3.5x4.5" from 1940. One of the #766 books is VF and the other has some moderate edge and spine wear, some coloring within, 3.5" crease along spine, 1.25" spine split but is VG. #1146 has a moderate spine twist and aging to cover, .25" spine split at top but is VG. #1198's first 30 pages or so are loose and book is missing one page. Partially colored but VG. #1456 has a loose first page but is intact, .25x.25" area of surface lifting on title of book. Pages are slightly brittle but Fine. #1469 has some tape residue inside front cover and a .25" to .5" area of aging along back cover on the left edge. Fine. #1497 has some penciling and coloring on cover and throughout book, 10 foil star stickers are on inside front cover and one on first page. Pages are complete and book is Good. Rest of books are complete and aside from some handling wear are Fine to VF. Saalfield books have some handling wear and aging but are complete and Fine. Laurel & Hardy book is quite scarce.
