Item Description
1.75” dia. two-sided celluloid disk. This 1934 premium from Quaker’s cereal is the version with the Boston “B” on his cap rather than “N.Y.” Edge has 5 notched celluloid wheels and reverse has colorful illustration of players on a ball diamond with tiny cut-out windows where numerals keep track of “Runs Home/Runs Visitors/Strikes/Innings/Balls.” Front has couple small dots of age on extreme edge at 2 o’clock and some lt. surface wear in reflected light including short but somewhat deep 1/8” cut on his lip. Reverse shows a couple of tiny wear marks but is generally clean overall. Comes with a black oilcloth pouch that has front flap which opens to reveal inner pocket which holds the scorer. Scorer probably was not issued in this pouch but it is of the same vintage and perfectly designed to hold the scorer. Small bit of simulated black leather finish flaking along the top edge.
