Item Description
Published monthly by Marvel Comics in Sept. 1963. Written by Stan Lee and drawn by comics great Jack Kirby. This hallmark issue features the first appearance and origin of Marvel Comics premiere super team The Avengers. The original team lineup consisted of Thor, Ant Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and The Wasp. In this first issue The Avengers must form to defeat the evil Loki, Thor's half-brother and the Norse god of mischief. Issue has some handling and aging, pinch creases to spine, a .25" top spine split and tanning to margins of inside front cover and pages. Fine.
