Item Description
7x7.25x1-3/8” deep slipcase is illustrated with Gorey’s spooky skeletal characters and holds set of 3 hardcover books – “The Gashly Crumb Tinies, The Insect God" and "The West Wing.” First edition, first printing books published between 1962-1965 by Simon & Schuster. Each book is written and profusely illustrated by Gorey. Slipcase shows wear with surface paper rubs at edges and corners but structurally sound and Fine. Gorey, who died in 2000, authored over 100 books, drew illustrations for more than 50 other authors and left his own unique stamp on the world of Gothic horror. Gashly Crumb and West Wing books have some aging to front and back covers with lt. spine wear. West Wing book has .5” tear to top spine. Fine/VF overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
