9.5x12.5” hardcover for film distribution company that was active 1918-1940 with most of their films distributed in the mid-late 1920s. Hardcover opens to reveal nice full color illustrated inside covers showing flapper-style woman in various costumes. Headers to sections lead off with “What Makes Great Pictures” and then goes to show directors including Cecil B. DeMille, William C. DeMille, George Melford and “The King Of Comedy” Al Christie. Other sections are “Studio Facilities” highlighting Cecil B. DeMille Studios in Culver City, CA., Metropolitan Studios, Christie Studios. “Great Authors, Dramatists, Scenarists” include Edna Ferber, Peter B. Kyne, Wallace Smith, A.A. Milne and others. “Box Office Personalities” include Leatrice Joy, Rod LaRocque, William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), Vera Reynolds, Marie Prevost and others. Upcoming productions include “Gigolo, The Yankee Clipper, Meet the Prince, For Alimoney Only." Covers have wear at corners and some scratches/scuffs to front and back covers.
