Item Description
11.5x16” hardcover has “Property Of Publix Theatres Corporation Sam Katz, President - Property Number B613” printed on front cover with “Vol. III, Nov. 8, 1929 To June 13, 1930 - This File Is Not To Be Cut Or Mutilated In Any Manner.” Inside front page once again warns “These Volumes Are Not To Be Cut Or Mutilated In Any Manner – Copy Or Photostat Anything You Wish To Reproduce – Do Not Remove These Volumes From Your Theatre Or Office. Strict Accountability For These Books Must Be Made By You To Your Successor, In The Event Of Your Transfer.” Book is filled with newspaper-style publication about films and theater promotions. Great contents include bw advertisement for “The Two Black Crows” Moran and Mack. Other ads featuring Harold Lloyd, Clara Bow and race cars as well as theater fronts and vehicle advertisements. Numerous bw photos of film industry stars and important higher-ups as well as theaters promoting theater going. Cover shows handling wear with moisture staining along top 1” margin. Some pages have slightly loosened from binding but all remain intact. Book itself is VG/Fine with evenly aged, Fine+/VF pages. Very limited distribution. First we’ve seen.
