Auction #200 - Part II
Item numbers 1187 through 2776 in auction 200
Item Description
See previous item #1525. Both are New England editions. Sep. 2, 1942 issue has full page ad for Abbott & Costello film “Who Done It?” with nice images of Bud and Lou in Sherlock Holmes disguises. Sep. 9, 1942 issue has full page caricature illustration of Clark Gable and Lana Turner in jeep from “Great Eight.” Another full page ad features ad for Red Skelton and Ann Sothern in “Panama Hattie” showing them sailing on musical note. Both of these illustrations have gold/silver foil accents on actress’s jewelry. Scattered handling with dust soiling at spines that show some wear, corner tip wear and scattered page aging. Fine/VF overall.
