19x23.5” tall by 10.5” deep wooden display with carved wooden figure of Davy Crockett standing with foot on carved dead bear with carved flintlock musket in hand. Davy wears actual fringed leather "deerskin" outfit and faux fur hat. Impressive, mechanical features allow chest to move in and out as if figure of Davy Crockett is breathing. Feature works when plugged in. c. 1955. Display has aging/wear to deerskin portions of Davy’s outfit. Dust soiling to bear and simulated natural base. Front of base reads “Hamilton - A Great American Watch” though we cannot tie this display in with any watch that we’ve seen. VF display. One of the best Davy Crockett items we’ve ever seen or offered.
