Item numbers 1187 through 2776 in auction 200
Item Description
3x7x6” tall tin litho toy with built-in key. By Hishimo. Japan. 1950s. Seesaw base is decorated with images of cherubs, bells and stars. The animals wear outfits, hold metal beaters and sit on opposites of a round drum also with star designs. Toy works and rocks back and forth as they play the drum and their heads move. Zebra ears are professionally made rubber replacements, all else is complete and tin litho. Moderate scattered wear including paint nicks and scratches as well as some tiny traces of oxidation but color remains vibrant and toy still has a glossy appearance. VG. Neat design.
