Item Description
Toy has overall size of 5x7x9” tall. 1930s by Kuramochi/Alps, Japan. Toy depicts young girl at the beach, she is celluloid and holds a sailboat and sits in a simulated wicker chair which is tin. On one side is a celluloid goose while on the other is tin stool that holds a celluloid umbrella. Base is tin and nicely illustrated on all sides including beach scene with adults and children, cabanas, on back is road with car traveling by a house. Toy works and chair rocks back and forth as her separate head nods, goose rotates and produces a squawking noise. Umbrella spins. Trace of aging. Tin base has scattered pinpoint paint nicks and scratches. Fine. Great design/action.
