Item Description
First is 3.5” tall depicting celluloid peep popping out of tin litho egg that sits on tin base designed as a bird’s nest. 1940s Occupied Japan. Works and shakes about. Indent to back of head. Fine. Next is 4” long colorful bird with celluloid body and painted tin feet. 1940s Occupied Japan. Attached to beak is die-cut cardboard leaf that reads “Wind The Spring And Hear Me Sing.” Small piece at top center of this leaf has been expertly replaced and not really evident when in place as intended. Works, shakes about as a chirping sound is produced. Toy itself is Exc. Third is 2.25” long colorful tin litho bird with felt tail. Japan, 1950s. Works and hops about. Tail has some insect damage, tin has scattered paint nicks. Fine.
