Item Description
This is a marvelous 10k gold bracelet holding 16 different 10k charms as offered in the 1946 catalogue of the firm “Claude A. Krasne Co.” under the promotional text of “California Made Jewelry.” The bracelet is 6.5” long marked on the spring ring which holds it closed as “10k.” Also, the ring holding each charm is marked “10k” and soldered closed. Each charm also carries a copyright symbol. As far as intrinsic value goes, the piece weights 1.9 ounces or 1.73 troy ounces. With gold at $1,130 per troy ounce, the weight in 10k gold equals $833.01. The charms are each about 7/8” tall and incredibly detailed. The charms are in order: Goofy, Bambi, Pluto (sniffing the ground), Flower, Minnie, Pinocchio, Mickey (with bouquet in hand), Donald’s 3 nephews, the Flying Donkey, Panchito, Chilly the Penguin, Donald Duck in sombrero, Thumper and Joe Carioca (with cigar). We believe these are all of the different charms the company offered. Essentially Mint.
