This style toy was produced in a number of different size varieties. This particular example is a larger scale, 8” in length. Stands 4.5” tall. Celluloid figures of Mickey and Pluto with painted tin wheeled cart with built-in key. Mickey holds string reins. Japan, 1930s. Toy works and unlike those varieties where Mickey is stationary, this Mickey figure is attached to a rod so he moves his body as the cart moves along. Pluto’s front right foot has shallow indent. Toy o/w shows just the slightest trace of aging. Exc.
