Item Description
10" tall. One side features classic image of Mickey with hands on hips, opposite side depicts Minnie and both have "Walt Disney" name in tiny letters under each. Underside also has company mark plus incised name "Forme Louise" and text "Exclusivite Mickey Mouse." 1930s. This along with a wash basin are the largest and most impressive pieces produced by this French company also known for their Disney-related tea sets, dishes, figural banks. One side of handle has some of the bright silver luster accent worn off, nearly all other silver accent on handle, top rim and sides remain. Inside rim edge has one tiny 1/8" nick. Images remain bold and distinct. Totally bright and glossy. VF. This is the actual example shown in the Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake and comes with a COA. That book notes that this is one of about only 6 known w/values of $1.500 in Fine and $2,750 in NM.
