Item Description
12.25x17” frame contains 2 sequentially numbered storyboards on animation paper, each having been matted to 4.5x5.5”. Storyboard #167-168 features Donald Duck cowering in fear while another unseen character faces some kind of danger or is beaten up. Character design suggests c. 1940 date and could be from a scene from an un-made cartoon or from a cartoon that was finished without those sequences in it. Each storyboard drawing is done in lead pencil with additional colored pencil accents and “Oof” and “Ouch!” red pencil sound effects at upper left. Upper left corners have .25” square of area less aged than rest of sheets. Scattered pin holes, with majority at top center margins of each sheet. VF display.
