Item Description
This iconic post-war space themed ring was issued by Kix cereals in 1951. The brass luster ring base is covered with designs including a flying rocketship accented by 3 stars while on the other side a rocket heads towards the Moon which has faintly detailed eyes, nose and mouth. Ring top is tall dark red plastic casing holding an internal spring which locks into position. Complete as originally issued, the ring comes with 3 long slender plastic rockets which all still glow in the dark. These rockets are particularly scarce as if they are launched in an uncontrolled environment they can soar away to oblivion. We’ve had single rockets exceed $200. The ring itself has Exc. luster about 90% complete. The launcher works perfectly.
