Item Description
7x9x4” deep metal box by Adco Liberty c. 1955 (see sign #2242). Front features scene with title “Walt Disney’s Official Davy Crockett At The Alamo” while back panel is Kit Carson with title “Walt Disney’s Frontierland.” Design at handle includes image of Fess Parker as Davy Crockett and text “An Official Disneyland Product.” Band design is in matching red color to rims and features related cowboy and Indian images. A band color variety was also produced in yellow. All but the underside and back panels have a slight haze to the finish like that we have seen on items that had paper and/or waxed paper laying against it over the years. This is really only visible in reflected light and box o/w shows just minor trace of rim wear. Interior remains totally bright and clean. Silvered metal parts retain near full luster. Aside from the hazing issue, box grades Exc. Again, minor defects that do not take away from its appearance for display. A difficult box to obtain in this high grade.
