Item Description
3-7/16x6-7/8” mount with dark orange border and the photo a sepia toned albumin. Shown is the building known as Tammany Hall on East 14th Street which was the infamous headquarters of the New York City Democratic Party political machine. The card is marked “Tammany Hall” at the bottom right corner. The card is marked on the ends “American Views” and “New York City.” The card has some lt. general age plus a chip missing from the top left corner. Probably from the era of John Kelly leadership (1872-1886) who followed William “Boss” Tweed.
