Item Description
2.5x8.5” black on cream fabric with large depiction of an all-seeing eye. Issued in support of Garfield and Arthur. Used by “Veterans” of the Hartford marching group formed early in 1860 to promote Lincoln’s candidacy. Some gray and tan staining on lower half. Still very striking and scarce. VG. (See 1860 Wide Awakes Medal #229).
