Item Description
Here is a most unusual pair of ribbons featuring identical images of McKinley. The first is 2.75x6.5” black on yellow to symbolize the “gold” issue. This reads “M’Kinley/Sound Money/Protection/And/Prosperity.” Has pair of very minor .25” weave stress lines barely showing. Trace of age at bottom .5”. Displays VF. Second is 2.5x6.25” black on gold paper with an all-over embossed pattern of stems and leaves. This reads “Sound Money/Nov. 14, 1896.” This was issued for a celebration the second Saturday after election day. Two small age marks on blank reverse. Front is Mint. A rare pair.
