8.5x11”. Printed letter with facsimile signature dated April 2nd, 1909. Lengthy one-page letter begins “Dear Sir: I Take The Liberty Of Addressing You In The Interest Of My Candidacy For Alderman Of The 12th Ward, For The Short Term On The Democratic Ticket.” Letter goes on to explain his past efforts and support that he has gained from labor organizations and the general public. Below bold printed signature is a post script listing 3 meetings being held Sunday at various Chicago locations. Back has original owner's lengthy inked real estate calculations. Two horizontal folds. Lt. aging/handling creases. Fine.
