Item Description
Sub-title text reads “Frank Willis/A Great American” and poster 22x32” with fabulous in-your-face color scheme shows black security guard who found the taped door bolt and called police. He twirls a bathtub stopper on a chain around his finger while below Nixon clings to bow of his sinking “Ship Of State” and exclaims “Who Pulled The *#! Plug?” His staff, portrayed as rats, are seen jumping from the ship and swimming to safety. These include John Dean, Ehrlichman, G. Gordon Liddy and John Mitchell. Bottom edge text reads “Copyright Woody Products/1663 Pitkin Ave. B’klyn NY.” Bottom right corner has 3” clear tape repair both back and front to a hairline tear but this blends and other age is limited to a bit of tan color on upper and lower margins. Very narrow side margins as is produced. Artist name on lower ship is possibly “Carlo.” A great poster to represent our two-year saga from break-in to impeachment. Only example we’ve seen. From the Morry Greener Collection. See Nixon ‘Jiggler’ toy in Toys section.
