Item Description
2.25”. Hake #2012. Browntone photo with gold text “Truman, Minnesota/Golden Jubilee – June 17 & 18, 1949.” Tiny text below his photo reads “President Harry S. Truman.” Button has tiny stain dots scattered around its extreme perimeter plus a very faint mark below the “M” of “Minnesota.” Reverse names maker as “Wendell’s Inc./Minneapolis” but the word “Wendell’s” is obscured by a gray mark on the reverse curl. This rare local issue button carries $500 value in Hake’s 2004 Revised Prices. While this example is not perfect, visually the tiny stain dots detract little and it has a conservative opening bid.
