3.75” dia. enameled metal compact shows Little King peeking through keyhole at wife as butler looks on, back of compact has large keyhole design that shows Little King’s wife powdering her nose in skimpy robe. c. 1930s. “O Soglow” name at bottom, marking copyright of Little King creator Otto Soglow. A few tiny enamel flakes by hinge at top with 1/8” sliver below Little King’s hand. 3/8” long scratch on Little King’s face and ermine collar. Reverse has 1/8” enamel flake on wife’s robe collar. Exc. display. Exceptional design. Rare and first we’ve seen in our 44 years.
