35.5x119” stone lithographed weatherproof muslin banner for 1935 Super Serial Productions, Inc. sci-fi serial. Left side of banner shows group of explorers, one holding futuristic space pistol stumbling upon lost futuristic city in the jungle as sci-fi doctor, hunchback, native and explorer prepare futuristic weapon at right. “High Voltage Action! Electrifying Thrills! Thunderbolt Drama!” Serial starred William Boyd (not to be confused with the actor who played Hopalong Cassidy). Brass grommet at margins as made for hanging at theaters. Corners have been trimmed, likely at time of issue by theater. Banner has been folded with some wear along fold lines. 4” tear to upper left corner, barely infringing upon image area. Lt. margin wear but o/w main image of banner remains bright and bold. VG+.
