Item numbers 1409 through 3152 in auction 201
Item Description
35.5x119” stone lithographed weatherproof muslin banner by Morgan Litho Corp. for 1943 Republic serial, the sequel to “G-Men vs. The Black Dragon” (see previous item #1705). Serial starred Rod Cameron and Joan Marsh as well as Duncan Renaldo and Lionel Royce. Brass grommets at margins as made for hanging at theaters. Striking visuals show Cameron leaping towards plotting sheiks as Marsh holds smoking revolver. Additional fight scene shows Cameron engaging in sword battle with sheik at right. Corners have been trimmed, likely at time of issue by theater. Banner has been folded and has some lt. wear along fold lines. Light margin wear but main image area of banner remains bright and clean. Fine display.
