Item numbers 1409 through 3152 in auction 201
Item Description
12” long by 8” tall straw stuffed fabric doll with string mane and horsehair tail wears flocked horse blanket with fabric piping and text that reads “Spark Plug O.K’s Reading 175th Anniversary” on one side. c. 1920s doll has leather bridle and light-up bulb eyes. Attached original wooden plunger cord would light up eyes when pressed. This function no longer works; it appears a battery was placed internally and sewn in as no compartment for a battery is evident. Doll shows some wear/aging and slight tears to front of blanket by brass fastener. Blanket can be removed. Doll has two .5” seam splits to back of upper rear legs but this is not visible with blanket on. St. wear to lettering but all remains legible. Doll can be positioned to stand upright on its own. Displays VF.
