Item Description
8.25x9.75” envelope with “The Quaker Oats Company” return address and mailing label shows heavy wear from mailing with tears to flap. VG. Envelope contains 16 approximately 7x7.5” thin cardboard standees with bw photos of prominent movie stars of the 1930s. Stars include: Jeanette MacDonald, Norma Shearer, Claudette Colbert, Binnie Barnes, Ruby Keeler, Joan Bennett, Joan Blondell, Bette Davis, Nelson Eddy, Fred MacMurray, Randolph Scott, Buck Jones, Dick Powell, Bing Crosby and Gary Cooper. There is a duplicate Randolph Scott standee. Standees have tabs at left and right, one tab is missing off Joan Bennett, all others remain intact. Creasing to Bing Crosby’s forehead but o/w standees are VF overall. We believe this to be a complete set of 15 (with duplicate) and scarce as such.
New info- we have been informed by a collector that there are at least 23 in the set.
