Ten-page story “Twenty Years A-Growing - The Story Of Martin Quigley And Motion Picture Journalism.” “The Big Broadcast Of 1936” is highlighted which showcased Bing Crosby, Amos ‘N’ Andy, Ethel Merman, Burns & Allen and others. Two-page spread for Hopalong Cassidy film “The Eagle’s Brood.” Pictures William Boyd as Hoppy. One page devoted to film newsreel with news of Ethiopia and Emporer Haile Selassie. Several pages of full color cartoon, promotional text featuring MGM’s Leo the Lion. Barbara Stanwyck film “Annie Oakley.” Full page ad promotes “For Release This Autumn” upcoming Charlie Chaplin classic film “Modern Times.” Full page ad for Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies animated shorts with text “Dere Mr. Quigley Today Belongs To Both Of Us. I Am 7 Years Old And You’re 20 Years Old. Me And Walt Send Our Best Wishes” and shows Mickey holding letter and ink quill. Another page of note is congratulatory text for Quigley from “Tarzan Pictures” and productions from the famous books and novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Page notes “Current Release ‘The New Adventures Of Tarzan’ Starring Herman Brix” and notes upcoming films “The Mad King” and “Tarzan Lord Of The Jungle.” Issue has wear with chips/corner tips off front and back covers.
